Blevio
The first village we will meet  starting from Como is  Blevio where we will admire the striking Villa Troubetzkoy and other beautiful villas lon the eastern shore of the lake and then pass in front of the Hotel Mandarin Lake Como.

Faggeto Lario
We admire the private villas overlooking the lake.

Torno
The second town we reach coming from Como is Torno: its shores are full of historic villas such as Villa Taverna and the striking Villa Pliniana off which you can dive into the lake to cool off a bit.

Nesso
Orrido di Nesso, a waterfall set among the mountains visible beyond the Civera bridge from where, very often, the bravest ones dive into the lake.

Lenno
In Lenno we’ll see stunning villas such as “La Cassinella” “Balbiano” and Villa del Balbianello owned by Fai (Nationale Heritage) Villa Balbianello and its magical gardens can be visited by purchasing tickets in advance.

Isola Comacina
The only island on Lake Como. There were 9 churches on the island before the Como people razed them to the ground in 1169. Today only the Baroque church of San Giovanni remains intact. Every year, at the end of June, the escape of the island’s inhabitants to Varenna is commemorated with a performance in which the lake is lit up with thousands of floating candles and finally with a fireworks display. The waters around the island are the perfect place to sip an aperitif and/or take a swim 

Laglio
On the way back we’ll pass in front of Laglio with its beautiful shore where Villa La Punta (formerly Veronesi) and Villa Oleandra (owned by George Clooney)  stand.

Moltrasio
Villa Fontanella (also known as Villa Versace). Villa Le Rose (former residence of Churchill in 1945).

Cernobbio
The wonderful Villa D’Este now a luxury hotel, Villa Pizzo that can be rented for weddings or other private events, and Villa Erba, once owned by director Luchino Visconti and now a venue for events and conferences.

Como
Villa Olmo, one of the largest villas on the lake with its magnificent gardens and  Life Electric, a monument in honor of Alessandro Volta created by archistar Daniel Libeskind.
